Hotel Raffles, Singapore - History, Sling Cocktail, Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is a 165-meter Ferris wheel from which you can get the best views of Singapore.

Its appearance is very similar to the London Eye of London, but its height is 30 meters higher.

The wheel was opened to the public on March 1, 2008, surpassing in height the Nanchang Star (in China) by 5 meters. The central wheel of the Singapore Flyer measures 150 meters in diameter and has 28 compartments for 28 people each. It was the highest wheel in the world until 2014, when it was surpassed by the High Roller of Las Vegas.

During the 30 minutes that the tour lasts, you can see the main points of interest of Singapore and even if the day is favorable, neighboring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

A Luxury Box
If you visit Singapore during the Formula 1 Grand Prix (at the end of September) you should know that the circuit goes through the feet of the Ferris wheel. What better day to ride the Singapore Flyer than on Sunday's race?

The best views of Singapore
Although the image from the Ferris wheel is similar to that obtained from Mount Faber, the views of the bay from the sea exceed those obtained from the interior of the island.

Climbing is essential and you just have to answer the question: By day or by night?
